WHAT IS MEDICINAL FOODS?
Medicinal Foods aims to bring awareness and accessibility to medicinal foods as a supplement or key part of mental and physical health. Tinctures, teas and powders from herbal medicine combinations can represent better risk-reward ratios. Our research allows people to make informed decisions about their health and to increase access to healthy stress-coping alternatives.
ULTIMATE GOAL OF MEDICINAL FOODS
Foods & Herbs for Stress, Sleep & Anxiety Initiative aims to give people agency by educating people about their options with regards to their natural remedies for overall well-being. We do so by analyzing scientific research and clinical evidence, gathering new evidence through data science and citizen science, and recommending to individuals optimal combinations of teas, tinctures, and powders that can be used to achieve each individual's mental health goals.
WHO'S ON THE TEAM?
There is a diversity of talent on this team ranging from Herbalists and Product Designers to UX/UI Developers and Data Scientists! There are also many key roles in between that support our dynamic, interdisciplinary teams.

WHEN DO WE MEET?
Meetings are held on Microsoft Teams & in PST:
- Data Science: Every other Tuesday 11am - 12pm
- Public Health: Every other Monday 6pm - 7pm
- Big Data Learning Impact: Saturdays 10:15am - 11:45am
- Digital Production: Saturdays 5pm - 6pm
